MEET THE RIDERS

DAVE
Age 35+
My name is Dave married to Ana - I am part of the Up hill down dale LEJOG team ( along with Paul, Pete, Tony).
I'm riding to raise money for the project that Ana and myself are involved in called Mano y Mano, a young peoples and families project run in Ecuador. Together we hope to finish building some classrooms to enhance the learning ability of the children who attend the project.
I like Pizza and coffee cake and collecting quotes ( in that order👍😊🚴♀️)

PETE
My name is Pete and I’m married to Sandra. We have two daughters and five grandchildren.
I retired from the Ambulance Service two years ago, having worked as a paramedic.
I’ve taken part in a number of endurance rides over the past 30 years, and this will actually be my seventh LEJOG!
My last one was back in 2016, so it’s great to be getting back on the road and taking on the challenge again.
Age 67

TONY
Age 60+
My name is Tony and I’m married to Sandra ( not the same Sandra ). I previously worked in tech and finance before going on to study at London Bible College.
I’ve pastored churches in Manchester and Preston, and today I serve as a community chaplain and social worker in Jaywick.
I’m looking forward to taking on LEJOG with Dave, Paul and Pete and being part of this challenge for a great cause.
SUPPORT CREW

Hi, I’m Paul — the Support Crew!
I’ll be following the riders in the caravan, carrying the essentials: food, spares, encouragement… and possibly a cold beer. 🍺
They do the hills. I do the driving. Teamwork

SUPPORT CREW
THE CHALLENGE LASTS 9 DAYS.
THE IMPACT LASTS YEARS.

Our journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats is more than a physical test of endurance; it is a direct investment in the future of children in Ecuador. Every mile we ride is a step toward providing better opportunities, facilities, and a brighter horizon for those we support. This is a mission that transcends the 9-day challenge, creating a lasting legacy of hope and community resilience.
